In my opinion the best season of the year to come visit the Rio de Janeiro is in summer, because most of the sights are best when visited with great heat and sun. In summer you can do many things as: go the beach of Copacabana and Ipanema, in Cristo Redendor ... I recommend not come to Rio de Janeiro in winter, because we do not have many activities to do. The beauty of Rio de Janeiro is in its beaches that can only be used in summer. In the winter time is not very good, it rains, do not have the sun and not to do many activities. In the spring sun is not the strong sufficient. So if you want to come to Rio de Janeiro come in summer to enjoy the beautiful beaches that exist here.
